Technical regulation and scope of the EN 570 standard
The EN 570 standard establishes rigorous technical requirements for the quality, inspection methods, and acceptance conditions of aluminum slugs intended for subsequent deformation by impact extrusion or impact stamping. This specification covers both flat and pre-formed blanks, including products obtained by cutting rolled sheets or sawing extruded semi-finished products.
EV Group China notes that the requirements of this standard do not apply to slugs manufactured from primary unprocessed semi-finished products. Products complying with EN 570 standards are optimized for high-tech production of industrial and general-purpose components, where metal structural stability is critical.
Using EN 570 certified blanks from EV Group China ensures compliance with geometric parameter and shape tolerances, which minimizes scrap rates during serial production of parts using deep drawing and stamping methods.
