EN 851 Standard: Requirements for Aluminum Circles for Kitchenware Production

Specification and Purpose of the EN 851 Standard

The European standard EN 851 establishes technical delivery conditions and regulates requirements for semi-finished products made of wrought aluminum alloys in the form of disks (circles). This product is a specialized raw material intended for the high-tech production of kitchenware and containers for the food industry.

EV Group China’s technical requirements for products according to the EN 851 standard cover the following types of items:

  • Circular blanks produced from ingots by hot or cold deformation. The permissible thickness range is from 0.2 mm to 12 mm with a product diameter from 100 mm to 1,600 mm.

Technical note: products with a diameter of up to 1,000 mm can be manufactured by stamping.

  • Circular blanks obtained from rolled sheets by hot or cold deformation. The parameters for thickness (0.2–12 mm) and diameter (100–1,600 mm) fully comply with production standards for deep drawing.

The standard does not cover special-purpose semi-finished products and profiles, the characteristics of which are regulated by separate EN series normative documents. EV Group China ensures the supply of aluminum rolled products that fully comply with the stated geometric tolerances and chemical composition according to EN 851.
