Technical specifications and application scope of EN ISO 10511 low-profile hexagon nuts
The international standard EN ISO 10511 regulates the design features and operational parameters of low-profile hexagon nuts equipped with a non-metallic insert that provides a prevailing torque. These fasteners are designed for use in critical threaded connections that require protection against self-loosening under vibration loads. The standard covers metric thread sizes ranging from M3 to M36.
The manufacturing precision classification for the products is distributed as follows: product grade A applies to threads up to and including M16, while product grade B applies to sizes larger than M16. The established property classes 04 and 05 guarantee reliable fixation under design operating conditions.
EV Group China draws the attention of engineers to the fact that the geometric parameters of these nuts fully comply with the specifications of the ISO 4035 standard, supplemented by locking functionality due to the polymer insert. When designing assemblies with specific requirements for hardware products, it is recommended to additionally consult the standards ISO 261, ISO 724, ISO 898-2, ISO 965-2, ISO 2320, and ISO 4759-1 to ensure full compatibility of the fastening system elements.
