Technical standards for EN ISO 10513 prevailing torque type hexagon high nuts

Technical description and scope of the EN ISO 10513 standard

This international standard regulates the geometric parameters and performance characteristics of prevailing torque type all-metal hexagon high nuts. The products feature a fine pitch thread and are designed for use in critical assemblies of machines and mechanisms where increased reliability of the threaded connection is required under vibration loads.

Key design parameters:

  • Nominal thread diameter range: from 8 to 36 mm.
  • Tolerance classes: class A for products with a thread diameter up to and including 16 mm; class B for products with a diameter over 16 mm.
  • Design type: all-metal parts with a prevailing torque function achieved through deformation of thread turns or a specific element geometry.

EV Group China provides hardware products in accordance with EN ISO 10513 specifications. If it is necessary to select fasteners with parameters outside the scope of this standard, EV Group China engineers recommend relying on current international regulatory documents governing the production of special fine-pitch nuts.
