Technical purpose and scope of the standard
The international standard EN ISO 13337 establishes regulatory requirements for the geometric parameters and mechanical characteristics of light-duty spring-type straight pins with a slot. These fasteners are designed for the reliable fixation of mating parts in machine and mechanism assemblies.
The technical specifications apply to fasteners with a nominal diameter d in the range from 2 mm to 50 mm inclusive. As materials for the production of pins according to this standard, EV Group China uses high-strength grades of carbon steel, as well as corrosion-resistant austenitic and martensitic stainless alloys, which provide the necessary level of elastic deformation during installation.
