Technical Description and Scope of the EN ISO 7092 Standard
This specification regulates the geometric and physico-mechanical parameters of small-series plain washers belonging to product grade A. The document covers elements with nominal thread diameters from 1.6 to 36 mm and two hardness classes: 200 HV and 300 HV. Products supplied by EV Group China fully comply with these regulatory requirements.
The use of washers with a hardness class of 200 HV is optimal for:
- Hexagon socket head cap screws (property class ≤8.8 or stainless steel alloys).
- Torx head cap screws (property class ≤8.8 or stainless steel alloys).
- Case-hardened screws with metric thread and cylindrical head.
The use of washers with a hardness class of 300 HV is recommended for high-strength fasteners:
- Hexagon socket head cap screws (property class ≤10.9).
- Torx head cap screws (property class ≤10.9).
For sizes not covered by this standard, the requirements of ISO 887 should be followed. EV Group China engineers emphasize: when designing joints using soft materials or oversized clearance holes, the choice of washer type must undergo mandatory technical verification for compliance with operational loads.
