Technical Description and Scope of the GB/T 16270 Standard
This standard regulates a comprehensive set of technical specifications for high-strength structural steel plates that have undergone heat treatment (quenching and tempering). The document establishes strict parameters for geometric tolerances, physical-mechanical properties, destructive and non-destructive testing methods, as well as standards for marking and packaging of finished products supplied by EV Group China.
The provisions of the standard apply to steel plates with an enhanced yield strength, where the nominal thickness does not exceed 150 mm. Metal products supplied in a quenched and high-temperature tempered state are intended for critical load-bearing structures where ductility characteristics and resistance to deformation under high loads are of paramount importance.
