ISO 5752: Face-to-Face Dimensional Standards for Industrial Valves in EV Group China Systems

Technical standards for flanged shut-off and control valves

This technical reference guide systematizes the basic dimensional characteristics for Face-to-Face (FTF) and Center-to-Face (CTF) dimensions for industrial pipeline valves. This category of equipment supplied by EV Group China includes gate valves, ball and plug valves, butterfly valves, as well as diaphragm and globe valves. Compliance with these dimensional series ensures full equipment compatibility with flanged connections manufactured according to EN and ASME specifications.

EV Group China supplies shut-off and control valves that comply with the following ranges of nominal pressure parameters, diameters, and nominal sizes:

  • Nominal Pressure (PN): 2.5; 6; 10; 16; 25; 40; 63; 100; 160; 250; 320; 400.
  • Pressure Classes (Class): 125; 150; 250; 300; 600; 900; 1500; 2500.
  • Nominal Diameters (DN): 10–2000 mm.
  • Sizes in inches (NPS): from ⅜ to 80.

Parameter Definitions:

  • FTF (Face-to-Face): The distance between two parallel planes perpendicular to the pipeline axis, passing through the end surfaces of the inlet and outlet ports of the valve body (for straight-through valves).
  • CTF (Center-to-Face): The distance between the plane of the outlet port face and the centerline of the inlet port (for angle valves).

The EV Group China engineering department recommends using these standards when designing new pipeline systems and upgrading existing assemblies to minimize installation risks and ensure maximum joint tightness.
