Technical standards and valve classification according to MSS SP-67
This technical regulation establishes comprehensive requirements for the design, geometric parameters, acceptance test methods, and marking of butterfly valves (oil valves). When conducting design work and selecting valves, it is necessary to additionally follow the provisions of the MSS SP-68 standard.
According to the current regulatory framework, EV Group China classifies the supplied valves into two operational types:
- Type I: Shut-off valves that ensure complete tightness of flow shut-off (compliance with the requirements of subsection 10.2.1).
- Type II: Valves whose design allows for regulated leakage in the seat seal zone (according to subsection 103.2).
EV Group China supplies valves in various design configurations: wafer (wafer/lugless), lug (single-flange), as well as flanged end models. The range of nominal diameters covers values from 1 1/2 NPS to 72 NPS. All products are designed to operate under nominal pressure conditions regulated by sections 3 and 4 of this standard, including specialized versions with grooves and collars for heavy-duty operating conditions.
